Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Lens News Intelligence (“Lens", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
2. Description of Service
Lens is a news intelligence platform that aggregates publicly available news stories, provides source bias ratings, reliability scores, and AI-generated summaries. We do not create original news content; we analyse and present information from third-party sources.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration.
- Maintain the security of your account credentials.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Lens to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
- Infringe intellectual property rights or privacy rights.
- Interfere with or disrupt the platform's infrastructure.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service.
- Use automated systems to scrape or extract data without permission.
- Spread misinformation, harass others, or engage in harmful conduct.
5. Intellectual Property
The Lens platform, including its design, code, logos, and AI-generated summaries, is owned by Lens News Intelligence and protected by intellectual property laws. News content itself remains the property of its respective publishers and sources.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the platform's proprietary features without our express written permission.
6. AI-Generated Content
Lens uses artificial intelligence to generate summaries, bias ratings, and reliability scores. While we strive for accuracy, these outputs are algorithmic assessments and may contain errors or omissions. They are provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as definitive legal, financial, or professional advice.
Bias ratings reflect the documented editorial positioning of news outlets as assessed by independent third-party raters (AllSides, Ad Fontes Media, MBFC, YouGov). They describe perspective, not accuracy. We encourage critical thinking and independent verification.
7. Third-Party Content
Lens aggregates news from third-party sources. We do not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for the accuracy, legality, or completeness of third-party content. Links to external sites are provided for convenience and do not constitute endorsement.
8. Subscriptions and Payments
Lens offers both free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance and renew automatically unless cancelled. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may also delete your account at any time through your settings.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Lens is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lens News Intelligence shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
