How Sources Work

Lens stories originate from primary sources — wire services and major public broadcasters including Reuters, AP, BBC News, AFP, and others. Supporting sources from across the political spectrum then add their coverage, building the reliability score and providing framing context.

A story's reliability score reflects the number of independent sources covering it — not the prominence of the outlet.
